Born on 23rd February 1955, Dr. Srivastava did his M.Sc. in Botany from Allahabad University in the year 1974 and Ph.D. in Applied Life Sciences from Kumaun University in 1981 with proficiency in German Language.He joined DRDO in 1979 as Scientist 'B' at Naval Materials Research Laboratory (NMRL), Mumbai (1979-1994).
